Later that same day, Shofner recalled meeting Chaplain Stoglin at the previous year’s Republican Convention. She stated: “I had the privilege of meeting Chaplain Stoglin last year at the Republican Convention. He is an incredible man of God.”
Shofner began serving as state representative for House District 11 in early 2025 after winning election and succeeding Travis Clardy. As part of her early tenure in office, she has emphasized constituent engagement and support for measures such as Proposition 16, which seeks to require U.S. citizenship as a criterion for voting in Texas elections.
