Joanne Shofner, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 11th House district in the State House, has recently posted a series of faith-centered messages on her social media account.

On September 10, 2025, Shofner expressed a religious affirmation by posting “Amen!!!! Amen!!!! In Jesus Name!!!”.

Later that day, she commented on the passing of Charlie Kirk with another faith-based message: “Charlie Kirk is more alive today than he has ever been. Rest in Peace, brother. Romans 10:9 Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”.

On September 11, 2025, Shofner referenced scripture and reflected on unanswered questions following the events of September 11: “‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” – Isaiah 54:10 “I may never know the answers to the questions that plagued me after 9/11.”

Shofner assumed office after being elected to replace Travis Clardy as representative for Texas’s 11th House district in 2025.
