How many students were enrolled in Corrigan-Camden ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 819 students enrolled in Corrigan-Camden ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53.2% of them were boys, and 46.8% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Corrigan-Camden ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 42.2% of the student population.

Corrigan-Camden ISD roughly covers schools within Polk County with its main office in Corrigan.

Among the three schools in Corrigan-Camden ISD, Corrigan-Camden Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 402 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
