There were 4,023 students enrolled in Livingston ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 5.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.3% of them were boys, and 47.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 58.6% of the Livingston ISD total enrollment.

Livingston ISD roughly covers schools within Polk County with its main office in Livingston.

Among the seven schools in Livingston ISD, Livingston High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,130 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
