Apple Springs ISD Education: 207 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 207 students enrolled in Apple Springs ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.2% of them were girls, and 47.8% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 86% of the Apple Springs ISD total enrollment.

Apple Springs ISD roughly covers schools within Trinity County with its main office in Apple Springs.

Among the two schools in Apple Springs ISD, Apple Springs Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 120 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
