How many white students were enrolled in West Sabine ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 491 white students enrolled in West Sabine ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that West Sabine ISD schools welcomed 608 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 80.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

West Sabine ISD roughly covers schools within Sabine County and has a main office in Pineland.

Among the two schools in West Sabine ISD schools, West Sabine Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 247 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
