Trinity County Education: 2,353 students enrolled in 2023-24 school year

There were 2,353 students enrolled in Trinity County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 1.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

At the time, Trinity County had the 108th lowest enrollment in the state.

Data also showed that white students made up 63.7% of the student body, the largest percentage in Trinity County schools, followed by Hispanic students at 20.8%, Black students at 10%, Asian students at 0.6%, American Indian students at 0.2%, Pacific Islander students at 0.1% and multiracial students at 4.5%.

A recent study by WalletHub classified Texas as one of the least-educated states in the U.S., ranking it 41st out of 50 in educational quality and student outcomes.
