The UTRGV Vaqueros, featuring former Hudson High School athlete Hank Warren, earned a 7-4 win over the Nicholls State Colonels in NCAA Division I play on Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m.
The matchup was held at Ben Meyer Diamond at Ray E. Didier Field and marked the teams’ third meeting this season. The Vaqueros previously defeated the Colonels 11-7 on Saturday, March 14.
Warren contributed with one hit in one at-bat, scored a run and collected two walks.
The Vaqueros are set to face the Rice Owls at Reckling Park on Tuesday, March 17, at 6:35 p.m.
