East Texas nursing education programs seeking financial assistance have an opportunity to apply for the Betty and Roy Erickson Nursing Grant.
The East Texas Communities Foundation is accepting applications until July 15 at 5 p.m. The Ericksons established the grant to support the nursing profession in the region, with the fund supporting nursing education.
Applicants may be nonprofit educational institutions in one of the following counties: Anderson, Angelina, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Delta, Franklin, Freestone, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Lamar, Leon, Marion, Morris, Nacogdoches, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rusk, Sabine, San Augustine, Shelby, Smith, Titus, Trinity, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood.
Applications may be submitted for special projects, equipment, technology and supplies, but not for administrative costs.
