How many students were enrolled in Shelby County schools in the 2020-2021 school year?

Test 08

Shelby County enrolled 5,138 students in the 2020-2021 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is 239 fewer than the year before.

Shelby County was ranked 97th in enrollment among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
