There were 256 students enrolled in Stephen F. Austin State University Charter School in the 2021-22 school year, a slight increase compared to the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 67.6% of the Stephen F. Austin State University Charter School total enrollment.

Stephen F. Austin State University Charter School roughly covers schools within Nacogdoches County with its main office in Nacogdoches.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
