San Augustine ISD schools Education: 114 white students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 114 white students enrolled in San Augustine ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that San Augustine ISD schools welcomed 657 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 17.4% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

San Augustine ISD roughly covers schools within San Augustine County and has a main office in San Augustine.

Among the two schools in San Augustine ISD schools, San Augustine Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 62 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
