Kirbyville CISD Education: 1,452 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 1,452 students enrolled in Kirbyville CISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.5% of them were boys, and 47.5% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 77.5% of the Kirbyville CISD total enrollment.

Kirbyville CISD roughly covers schools within Jasper County with its main office in Kirbyville.

Among the three schools in Kirbyville CISD, Kirbyville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 708 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
