Enrollment Analysis: white students comprised 97.1% of Centerville ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 134 white students enrolled in Centerville ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Centerville ISD schools welcomed 138 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 97.1% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Centerville ISD roughly covers schools within Trinity County and has a main office in Groveton.

Centerville High School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 134 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
