There were 2,211 students enrolled in Jasper ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51% of them were boys, and 49% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Jasper ISD students was African American, accounting for 39.8% of the student population.

Jasper ISD roughly covers schools within Jasper County with its main office in Jasper.

Among the four schools in Jasper ISD, Jean C. Few Primary School recorded the highest enrollment of 699 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
