There were 1,502 students enrolled in Kirbyville CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 53.3% of them were boys, and 46.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 76.8% of the Kirbyville CISD total enrollment.

Kirbyville CISD roughly covers schools within Jasper County with its main office in Kirbyville.

Among the three schools in Kirbyville CISD, Kirbyville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 722 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
