Enrollment Analysis: white students comprised 76.8% of Kirbyville CISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 1,154 white students enrolled in Kirbyville CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.5% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Kirbyville CISD schools welcomed 1,502 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 76.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Kirbyville CISD roughly covers schools within Jasper County and has a main office in Kirbyville.

Among the three schools in Kirbyville CISD schools, Kirbyville Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 556 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
