Central Heights ISD schools Education: 748 white students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 748 white students enrolled in Central Heights ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.9% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Central Heights ISD schools welcomed 1,104 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 67.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Central Heights ISD roughly covers schools within Nacogdoches County and has a main office in Nacogdoches.

Among the three schools in Central Heights ISD schools, Central Heights Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 333 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
